Benefits of Bentonite Detox Clay
Many don’t realize that there are many ways that humans utilize clay, whether to tile our floors, to hold our flowers in a vase, or to create a pipe for sewage. We even use it every day in the bathroom. Many of us also don’t realize how much clay can be used for health purposes. And no, it’s not a new fad or trend: clay has been used medicinally for hundreds of years. Clay can work as a superb detoxification treatment due to its alkaline pH and high negative ionic charge. Plus, it’s safe, mostly since our bodies can’t actually absorb it.
How Bentonite Detox Clay WorksBentonite Detox Clay, or Bentonite clay, is used as a detoxicant -- in other words, it gets rid of poisons or other toxic substances in our body. Essentially, when we swallow Bentonite clay, it doesn’t hurt us or affect us, but it does attract the toxins in our body and helps us get them out of our system and out of our bodies. If you take a pill with both Bentonite Clay and Psyllium Husk, the two substances form quite a team: the clay attracts and absorbs the toxins, while the Psyllium Husk eliminates them. Generally, the toxins are positively charged and therefore are attracted to the clay. Some of the substances that Bentonite Clay can absorb include: impurities, poisons, pesticides, parasite, bacteria and pathogens.
Types of Symptoms Bentonite Detox Clay FightsWhen should you use Bentonite Clay? It can be used to fight gas and bloat, diarrhea, high acidity, digestive problems with either the stomach or colon, acid reflux, fatigue, mental dullness or stiff joints. In other words, anyone could benefit from Bentonite Detox Clay at some point in his or her life, since we all face these symptoms at some time. In many of these symptoms, drinking water and sweating are both good ways to help heal your body, since both actions help clean your body out. But studies show that Bentonite Clay is often a better and even more effective means of helping to heal your body faster. Essentially, clay releases energy, a negative electromagnetic energy charge that helps make it a catalyst. It thereby creates a spark that speeds up the process, which is something that sweat and water do not do.
Uses of Bentonite Detox ClayDuring the summer, you can take a “clay bath” by rubbing Bentonite clay powder over your body and sitting in the water for several minutes. After taking a regular bath you may want to rub sesame oil to keep your skin from drying. This clay bath can take away some of the metals and toxins from your skin. However, make sure to consult with a doctor before taking a clay bath. You may want to settle with a clay footbath instead if you have a heart condition, high blood pressure, or if you’re pregnant. If you take a footbath, mix the right amount of clay with hot water (100-102 degrees). The amount of clay can depend on the level of your pH or acid/alkaline. One or two cups of clay for half an hour are considered ideal. Sometimes the elimination of the toxins or metals can make you feel nauseous or fatigued. If this happens, remove your feet and use less clay from parts of the body and fatigue.
